Outreach to our local community is an important part of our mission at St. Barnabas. We began a little food pantry in 2023, which provides food for anyone in need. Our annual Outreach Bazaar is held the third Saturday in October, and has been active for more than ten years. Proceeds from the Bazaar directly fund our Outreach operations, which includes cash gifts to local charities that we support, in addition to a few national organizations.
All of the money and donated for Outreach benefits those in need in our community, as well as a few carefully chosen national organizations. None of the money raised by Outreach efforts is kept for church use.

The project continues to be a blessing to the teacher, the students, and the church’s scribes who participated this year!

Members of our parish, as well as members of other churches and community groups, help keep the pantry stocked year round with food and toiletries. The pantry's Loaves and Fishes design reminds us that when we share resources, we not only acknowledge God as the giver of all things, but we also take a small step towards justice and peace among all people and respect for the dignity of every human being.

We also donate to emergency situations as we are able. For example, we donated to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund after the July floods in Central Texas.
